Judging stage is a new experience for Oliver
The Enterprise Vision Awards are in full flow with numerous businesswomen from across the North West descending on The Village Hotel in Blackpool for the all-important judging stages.
Sixteen categories are being judged and the standard of entries are at an all-time high. As proud sponsors of the Creative Industry category, our very own account executive Oliver Smith was invited to judge both the Creative Industry and Customer Service categories.
At KRPR, we’ve been involved with the awards for several years and each the year the awards have gone from strength to strength. As well as sponsors, we of course handle all things PR for the awards and each year is an enjoyable one.
Reflecting on the judging process, Oliver said: “It was an excellent experience and one that I thoroughly enjoyed. I didn’t really know what to expect to be honest, I’ve been involved with the EVAs for a couple of years now but it’s the first time I’ve been a judge.
“I was part of a three person panel and it was interesting to see the different presentations and how the ladies reacted and answered the questions. Each question is the same to keep it fair for the entrants.
“It was certainly a new experience for me but one I learnt plenty from. It wasn’t easy either! I found myself reflecting on scores as the calibre of entries were so high. But, I’m happy with the decision I made and I’m now looking forward to the awards night which takes place in September!”
Launched back in 2011, the EVAs provide women across the North West with the opportunity to be recognised for their achievements in business.
Once the judging process is complete, public votes can be cast at www.enterprisevisionawards.co.uk, from Monday, August 20th. When the judges’ scores are either tied or within a margin of two percent, the public votes are then added to decide the winner.
