Proud to play our part in this year’s Chorley Flower Show
Team KRPR were delighted to be asked to provide the media relations, digital marketing and media buying for this year’s fun-filled Chorley Flower Show.
In what was set to be the biggest show to date, thousands of people still enjoyed an amazing array of displays at the award-winning show at the weekend despite the poor weather!
Whether you read about the show, saw it advertised in print or a poster, were targeted digitally, saw a bus advert or heard the many radio and TV interviews, we left no stone unturned in the PR and marketing of this year’s event!
We were delighted that Chorley Stalwart, Dave Spikey joined our team of dignitaries and VIP’s on opening day and a big thank you to BBC Radio Lancashire’s John Gillmore and weather presenter Jo Blythe from Granada Reports for joining us over the weekend too.
Councillor Alistair Bradley, Leader of Chorley Council, said: “It was another fantastic show with so many people commenting on how much they enjoyed it with lots of first-time visitors who said they were so impressed with Chorley that they will be coming back.
“We had some really wet weather with forecasters saying about half a month’s rainfall fell in a day but it didn’t stop people coming to support the show and I’d like to thank everyone who came along.
“We’ll be due some sunshine next year so put the dates in your diary the show is scheduled for 1 and 2 August next year.”
Organisers, Chorley Council estimated about 8,000 people visited over the weekend providing a boost to the local economy.
