KRPR supports 8 year old Hollie

We were delighted to donate a bit or our agency time to support one of our client’s daughters as she pledged her support to the NHS and what a little media star she became!  Here is her story:

Local schoolgirl, 8 year old Hollie Nestor, has started a fundraising campaign to support the invaluable NHS which will allow her to donate care boxes to the frontline workers.

Hollie said: “When I saw all the doctors and nurses working so hard on the news, I just wanted to help!  So, I asked my mum to set up an online fundraiser then also asked all our neighbours on Brockhall Village for their help with donations of toiletries, snacks and sweet treats to help keep all the NHS heroes going on their long hard shifts!  My neighbours have been really kind with their donations and I hope to be able to reach my target and more as I would like to keep this going for as long as they need help and support.”

Hollie set herself a target of £400 and quite literally smashed that having already raised £1554 of vital funds. Over 100 items have already been received as well as 88 Bodyshop hand cream packs which Hollie has personally labelled with a message to read “Thank you for being an ‘NHS Angel”.  Items from the care boxes full of food, drinks, toiletries and treats for the workers are now being distributed to hospital wards across Lancashire via the hospital charity.

Hollie’s parents, Carrie and David Nestor said: “Hollie is certainly on a mission to help our heroes and we can’t thank everyone enough who has supported her so far with their very kind donations; whether that was donating funds online or for leaving items on our doorstep for Hollie to use in her care boxes.

“We are so incredibly proud of Hollie.  She has such a caring, giving nature and has already earned her the nickname of Nurse Nestor in our house! Like Hollie, we really do hope the boxes put a smile on the faces of those working tirelessly to keep us safe, quite literally our NHS heroes!”

Hollie didn’t stop there and has since started a toy sale at the bottom of the drive!  A massive congratulations to Hollie and keep up the good work from everyone here at KRPR!  What a superstar!
