The Brief

KRPR was tasked with raising awareness locally of the  New Year’s Eve party nights at Bolton Whites Hotel over the festive period, specifically targeting families with the objective to increase YOY ticket sales.

The Work

KRPR took the community driven approach and devised a Christmas Bauble campaign to target local schools and gain the involvement of the pupils in a fun and creative way; whilst at the same time engaging with the parents to help raise awareness of Bolton Whites Hotel’s calendar of festive events.

Our team worked with a number of schools on the campaign to creatively design a winning Christmas bauble for Bolton Whites Hotel.

The winning design would become the hotel’s annual Christmas card for the following year and the budding Van Gogh would win VIP match tickets to attend a Bolton Wanderers Football Club home game for their family where they would be a club mascot for the day, training with the players whilst their family looked on.

Not only that, but the winner’s class, along with their teacher, were invited to a VIP tour of the Macron Stadium including entry ‘behind the scenes’, to the players changing rooms followed by a class lunch at Bolton Whites Hotel.

Bolton Whites Hotel received over 600 bauble designs from children across Bolton and due to the vast number of entries, the hotel decided on two winners from different schools and four runners up.

KRPR arranged for representatives from the hotel to attend the schools to present the winning pupils with a framed version of their design.

The campaign was picked up locally by regional press and coverage lasted well into the New Year, following the story when the pupils attended both the BWFC home games and the school stadium tours.

We also work nationally with many public sector organisations on various media relations, creative PR campaigns and high impact, community engagement campaigns.

    Currently at KRPR we work with a number of clients from a variety of locations across the UK, including Chorley, Preston, Nottingham, Grantham, Spalding, Burnley, Lancaster, London, Bristol and Bolton.     To achieve a high standard of results for all of our clients we follow a number of steps. Upon appointment we undertake an in-depth and detailed research program to understand and collect all information on the client, including their history, aims and aspirations. Following this, we develop a 12 month PR plan, broken down into more detailed quarterly targets. As a minimum we meet with clients quarterly to provide detailed PR reviews and together plan the next three months of activity. We provide ongoing regular communication with the client throughout the quarter but believe that by having regular reviews and forward planning meetings both the KRPR team and the client develop a relationship that helps with the delivery of outstanding PR campaigns.
